Sympathetically designed single storey rear extension to a tradtional 'WGC' terraced home.

Welwyn Garden City and the properties that fall within it's Estate Management Area can often be very restricted in term of their development potential. JW-BA explored several alternative options for the extending of this home and liaised with the planners along the way to ensure everyone was happy.

Replacing an old timber framed conservatory, the new extension enables a large open plan kitchen, living, dining space to the rear whilst creating a new home office space to the front.

It's large doors to the rear provide the feeling of inside / outside living, connecting the indoors with the patio and garden beyond.

The project was completed in the summer of 2020 shortly after Covid-19 lockdown was lifted.
