Enveloping the existing house to improve energy efficiency and aesthetics

JWBA were first appointed to work on this project back in 2020.

Together with the client a designed was developed quickly however the planning authority had other ideas.... 2 years later we finally received planning approval via appeal. Thankfully with the design ethos still very much intact.

​

The designs involve extending two storeys to both the front and rear to completely encapsulate the original house. A combination of white bricks and mortar, white render, black windows, black standing seam cladding and a pale timber cladding combine to create a contemporary appearance.

Detailed designed has been completed and the tender process is currently underway.

Works should start on site early in 2024.
