Project overview:

This new-build home replaces a tired 1960s farmhouse and collection of dilapidated outbuildings on an expansive site in Essex.

The design was developed closely with the client to create a highly considered forever home, with the ability to adapt to different patterns of use over time. The house is arranged as a series of clearly defined zones, allowing everyday living to remain comfortable, efficient and intimate, while additional spaces can be opened up and brought into use when needed.

This means that, despite covering 6000 sq.ft, the house can remain comfortable and efficient on a day-to-day basis, while still having the flexibility to come alive when the house is fuller.

The project is currently in technical design, with construction due to commence in early 2027.
