This is the second of this type of project now completed by JW-BA for the same client.

 

The project started with the demolition of a post-war, tin bungalow meaning that we had a blank canvas to work with.

 

The brief was to create a beautiful family home that sat well within its countryside context and appeared as though it could well have always been there. Internally however the design was to be modern, playing with space, light and texture to create a large home but that felt warm and intimate.

The project was self-built, uses an air source heat pump and has tripled glazed windows.

The project was completed in the summer of 2020 and has been photographed ahead of an upcoming magazine feature.
