JWBA were approached by the clients for this project in August 2019, who were looking to extend their family home. Key things they were after included a better connection to the garden, relocating the bathroom from the ground floor, maintaining three bedrooms and, importantly, a design that didn't just look like a 'box'.

Together we developed the concept design and the result speaks for itself; This house holds the title for 'Most liked image' on my Instagram page!

The bathroom was relocated to the first floor allow for the extension to become part of the garden. A combination of natural brick and charred larch timber cladding provide a contemporary but sympathetic material palette.

A loft conversion on the top floor provide a spacious third bedroom.

The project was completed in 2020 - mid Covid pandemic.
