JW first became involved in this project having seen it advertised as an architectural design competition on website www.designfor-me.com. 

We proposed a sympathetic extension to the existing one-bedroom cottage that added an additional bedroom, along with plenty of storage. The design mirrored the form of the existing building but featured sharper detailing, oversized windows and maximised the view down to the marina.

We were fortunate enough to win the competition, secure planning approval for the designs and were commissioned to prepare the detailed drawings for the scheme.

JW were then also instructed to carry out site inspections and provide professional snagging services prior to practical completion.

The build was completed during holiday 'off-season' and reopened its doors in early May 2019.
