Newgate Street Village, Hertfordshire.
Re-planning of internals with full refurbishment.
Respecting what has gone before and adapting for the future.
This project is located in Newgate Street Village, Hertfordshire and has involved the reorganising, restructuring and full refurbishment of a quaint, family cottage.
The house is steeped in history and demanded attention to the finest detail. Designs were signed off in early 2016 and a contractor appointed in the summer.

The house lacked definition from front to back, resulting in a ground floor plan that wasn't practical for family life. The proposed layouts rationalised things, relocated the stair and introduced natural light in to spaces that previously had none.
The upstairs contained small six bedrooms and a dark, winding corridor. The new layout has created 4 good size bedrooms with character and warmth. The main feature is a large double height volume through which the new stair arrives, a window over the stair floods the space with natural light.

The project is currently on site and due to be fully finished in February 2017.
